10 short plays at every performance!
4th Annual 10-Minute Play Festival JUNE 5-8, 2008
A ten-minute play is a streak of theatrical lightening. It doesn’t last long, but its power can stand your hair on end.
— Eric Lane, author of Take Ten
Playwrights from around the world entered Lakeshore's 4th annual 10-minute playwrighting contest. The criteria? All submitted plays had to be new (never before published or produced at time of submission), no longer than 10 minutes, with no more than five actors and minimal props. Our play reading committee spent months reading. Each play was evaluated, (without knowing the author's identity), by at least four readers. The votes were tallied and the field was narrowed to the best 40, then the best 20. We read those final 20 aloud and selected ten of the best comedies and dramas (listed below) to premiere at Lakeshore's Festival. Don’t miss this chance to see new short works by talented playwrights!
Tickets: $12 Regular, $10 Senior/Student
