“...Doubt can be a bond as powerful and sustaining as certainty.” —Father Flynn Doubt: A Parable Directed by Kevin T. Houle “What do you do when you’re not sure?” John Patrick Shanley sets the stage for a story of suspicion and moral uncertainty in Doubt. The complex play, set in the turbulent 1960s, centers around an accusation made by a severely dogmatic nun who suspects a popular priest of having an improper relationship with a male student. Doubt leaves the audience to make up their own minds about this moral mystery. The 2008 movie version of Doubt, starring Meryl Streep, was nominated for 5 Oscars.
